I often get asked this question and I would love to say yes but although Pilates has many benefits, on its own it will not help you loose weight. You need a combination of diet, fitness, good gut health, stress relief and sleep. Pilates can however give you better muscle tone that does help the body use up more calories and if you can move with more freedom then you are more likely to do more general exercise. It is a great form of exercise if you are injured or have any ongoing illnesses or conditions.
